Senior Mining Engineer

A high performance / technically challenging role will have you working amongst a peer group of experience this is a locally run and owned gold company with a relatively flat management structure they have a genuine "family friendly" company culture. The MD and Directors frequently travel to site and have beers with the crews.  As the overheads are lower than a lot of the larger scale miners there is more money to spend on projects and expansion. This is an aggressive growth phase for the company so the right candidate will get some great exposure.
 
This opportunity will suit someone who is not getting enough project development exposure in their current role or perhaps a consultant who wants to work for the miner direct rather than charging themselves out by the hour.
  

• Feasibility studies
• Strategies to develop other existing deposits
• Optimise/ strategic planning/ mine design on current open cut operation
• Analyse other internal and external opportunities
• Project evaluation
• Contract negotiation / management
• Report to Technical Services Manager
• Monday to Friday role
• Occasional site visits

The ideal candidate will have a combination of underground and open cut experience and a strong technical ability in regards to mine planning, design, optimisation and studies /project development. Probably the most important element is the underground experience as someone with UG experience can be trained in the OP elements. Bring 6+ years and a mining engineering or other relevant degree to qualify
