Geotechnical Engineer

The company is an international producer with a flag ship operation in WA. They have been established as a mid-tier operator for over 10 years and continue to grow and develop. Due to ongoing expansion on a high grade nickel site utilising sub-level open stoping mining methods they require a geotechnical engineer to join the company.The role:
 

• Input into planning and design for current expansion project
• Geotechnical modelling and design
• Geotechnical risk assessments
• Geotechnical Mapping
• Stability monitoring
• Stope performance analysis/ optimisation
• Ground control management design and setup
• Manage external consultants / contractors
• Flexible 8-6 roster

You will report to a Technical Services Manager who has worked within both the junior companies and International Majors, so he has many ideas, initiatives and well rounded experience to offer. 
  
This opportunity will suit a Senior Geotechnical Engineer who wants to run their own division or a mid range Geotechnical Engineer ready to take the next step up to a senior role. Either way you will be responsible for the geotechnical function on site as well as geotechnical input into the current expansion project. This opportunity will suit an experienced geotechnical engineer with 5+ years of underground experience and strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
