Structural Engineer - Relocate to Christchurch or Auckland

As a result of project growth and the rebuilding of Christchurch an exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Structural Engineer with a proven commercial project background to join the Christchurch team.

Requirements:

- Preferably 5-8 years of experience as a Structural Engineer
- Tertiary Engineering qualifications
- Previous commercial & industrial project experience essential.
- Strong detailed design & analysis skills
- The ability to liaise with architects, developers and clients
- Strong knowledge of local codes
- Excellent team skills & reporting capabilities
- Strong decision making capabilities and communication skills
 
Your duties will include the following:
- Structural engineering design of residential and commercial projects
- Structural assessment of buildings for earthquake damage
- Design of seismic strengthening systems for existing buildings
- Assessment of earthquake damaged buildings for demolition and preparation of deconstruction methodologies for such building
- On site monitoring of construction.
