This position would be of interest to Mechanical Engineers, Mechanical Technologists, Red Seal Journeymen Millwrights and individuals who have a bachelor's degree coupled with 5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate will also possess strong leadership skills, good communications skills, be a team oriented person with good people skills, have good computer skills and be well-organized.
Reporting to the General Supervisor Red Deer Maintenance, the Mechanical Supervisors will be responsible for mechanical maintenance related activities for an assigned work area. They will be responsible for the effective management and scheduling of their assigned work group. They will control attendance and adherence to working hours and approve overtime hours for their assigned work group. They will ensure the quality of the work performed by their assigned work group as well as external contractors. They will create, plan and prioritize Corrective Work Orders. They will be the primary point of contact for Operations on mechanical maintenance issues. They will collaborate with the Asset Maintenance Coordinator and Operations about planned maintenance activities
