Contracts Manager - $40 M Civil package

This top tier civil contractor will deliver this newly awarded civil project near Gladstone, the initial package is valued at $40 million dollars. Work will include: earthworks, roadworks, drainage, minor structures similar to what you would find on most TMR upgrade projects.  Construction will soon be starting onsite and will run for at least one year. With more stages to be released this is a long term position.

We are looking for a Senior Contracts / Manager with a Quantity Surveying or Engineering back ground to work onsite managing all commercial agreements, contracts and cash flow on this highway upgrade. You will have a team of administration staff to handle the procurement and commercial management of the entire project. This will be a challenging role that will demand previous experience in contractual disputes, negotiation solutions with demanding clients in civil engineering.

While working closely with the Project and Construction Manager your role will include:

• Assist Project Managers in subcontractor and consultant management
• Manage head contract variations and scope changes
• Develop cost controls and reporting requirements
• Account finalisation of head contract and subcontracts

This is a highly rewarding role that will ensure long term employment here in Queensland with one of the heavy hitting tier one contractors. You will require similar experience in commercial management in civil construction preferably mining infrastructure, large main roads, water infrastructure or similar fields.
