One of Australia's leading Mining Contractors with Open Cut and Underground mine operations throughout Australia.

Currently looking for an experienced CHPP Superintendent for an Open Cut Coal mining project in Central Queensland. The site is being expanded and a second plant is being built offering the successful candidate an opportunity to be shaped into a future CHPP Manager. You will lead and develop the production and maintenance teams to meet the commercial targets of the project. You will assist with the introduction of existing and new systems  to meet business objectives on site, implement strategies to monitor and improve planning and scheduling activities and ensure a safe workplace at all times. You will be responsible for all sub contractor management and assist the CHHP Manager and be accountable for the operational management and budgets meeting our clients requirements.

To be considered for this role you will have;

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Process Engineering or post trade mechanical/electrical qualifications
• Experience in a similar role with substantial supervisory experience
• Strong computer literacy, contract management and negotiation skills
• Minerals processing experience would be highly regarded
• Thorough understanding of the QLD Coal Mining Safety & Health Act and Regulations
