Environmental Engineer - Civil Construction
My client is looking for an Environmental Engineer or coordinator that is up for a challenge and enjoys the thrill of making a difference within the environment. This contractor gains satisfaction from providing ongoing training, support and the opportunity for staff to further progress their careers.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments of contaminated land sites
- Identifying hazard materials
- Waste disposal plans and monitoring
- Report writing.
- Carry out audits both internal/external and risk assessments for work locations
Requirements:
- A bachelor of engineering within either civil or environmental specialisation
- 2 + years experience in civil construction or related industry
- Knowledge of environmental sciences/engineering systems, principles, and methodologies.
- Experience in environmental monitoring and compliance inspection during construction.
- Working with the environmental legislation ensuring compliance to the said legislation
- Strong Communication Skills
- Have a drive to ensure that environmental awareness on the site are to the forefront of the works
- Highly self motivated
