Senior Geotechnical Engineer

$160K Base, 10% super, plus Site Bonus Residential, relocation assistance Underground Copper or Gold We are looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the technical services team in a high-grade underground copper mine. We are fortunate to be able to offer a progressive town that boasts modern medical, schooling and sporting facilities.

Your Responsibilities will include:

• Provide geotechnical input into mine design, production sequencing, stope design & capital infrastructure excavations 
• Maintain optimum development ground control standards including the implementation of sequencing guidelines to permit reliable production access & minimize rehabilitation requirements 
• Review ground control performance with regard to design, operational practices and design assumptions 
• Maintain & optimise hazard management systems pertaining to excavation stability including hazard management plans, minimum ground control design and installation standards 
• Manage and administer ground control contractors 

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Tertiary degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Mining Engineering or Geology or relevant degree 
• Demonstrated strong leadership and excellent communicator 
• Training in Risk Management will be highly regarded 
• 5 - 10 plus years of experience in underground metalliferous environment 

This position comes with an attractive salary package in accordance to the selected candidates experience and work knowledge ranging from $140k - $160k base salary, plus super, plus site bonus. Relocation is also being offered.
