Mine Manager - Open Cut Gold; SE Asia

You are a gold mining professional who is looking for professional development and the opportunity to ‘step up’ to the next working stratum. Having worked in open-pit environments you will have a clear understanding of how system improvements can have a dramatic impact to safety, environment and the bottom line. This is a career defining role that will lay the foundation for future leadership opportunities. 


Reporting to the General Manager; Operations you will actively work to achieve improvements targets in safety, production, product quality, environment and costs by developing and implementing operating systems and process for change. After your initial site assessment you will set your own targets and start making progress on cost improvements. Thereafter you will undertake audits on safety effectiveness and gain the trust of the marketing people that you can deliver the volume and quality they require.


Ideally, you will be a qualified engineer and have significant experience in open cut precious metal operations with an owner miner fleet. Having worked at Superintendent level for a period of time you will have the ability to think abstractly and operate at a level where your interpersonal skills and energy will drive positive outcomes.
