GC/GCMS- Volatiles Analyst- Part Time

• EMSL Analytical, Inc. is currently seeking a part time GC/GCMS - Volatiles Analyst  for its Headquarters location in Cinnaminson, NJ.  EMSL is a growing commercial environmental testing laboratory.  This position offers the chance to work for a stable company that is team oriented and offers growth opportunities within the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities included (but not limited to) the following:

• Person needed to analyze environmental samples, air, water and soil using USEPA methodologies, mostly GC/MS but some GC.
• Successful candidate will be expected to load instruments, process data and fill in as needed in other areas in the lab as required
• Cleaning cans, shipping
• Manage time effectively to complete assignments in expected time frame
• Maintain a clean and safe laboratory work environment

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors in science major, chemistry is preferred
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in production laboratory setting using GC and/or GCMS  and/or air sampling analysis
• Excellent organizational and time management skills are necessary
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment and interact effectively with all levels of staff
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of basic computer skills such Microsoft Outlook, word and excel is required

Hours:

• Monday to Friday 2nd Shift Hours- TBD Flexible in between 4 p.m. and 11 p.m. must be able to work 4 to 5 hour shift.
• Training to start will be Monday to Friday 1st Shift in 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
