AMC Consultants is a leading mining consultancy, providing services exclusively to the minerals sector. We are experiencing an exciting period of growth and have a number of interesting opportunities available.
Our Melbourne office is currently seeking a Principal Geologist with the following skills and qualifications:
Specialist skills required:
Resource estimation using geostatistical estimation techniques.
A mixture of diverse geological experience across exploration, geological interpretation, underground and open cut mine production.
Consulting and mentoring to support and undertake work in resource estimation, technical reviews, audits and due diligences.
Ability and preparedness to act as a competent person where suitable.
Preference for experience in bulk commodities such as mineral sands, iron ore and coal however gold and base metals experience is also desirable.
Datamine Studio software skills preferable.
Qualifications required:
A degree in geology. Block model estimation and mineral resource reporting experience. A minimum of 15 years industry experience
Membership of an appropriate professional society such as the AusIMM or the AIG.
The salary packages offered will be commensurate with the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
