Junior Geotechnical Engineer

• Gannett Fleming provides solutions for foundation design and rehabilitation, underground construction, earth structures and groundwater resources. Exploration, analysis and design related to soil, rock and groundwater is an essential part of every project. Our engineers and geologists specialize in landslides, sinkholes, mine subsidence, seepage, expansive soils and seismic activity.
• Our Geotechnical Practice is currently seeking a Junior Geotechnical Engineer to join the Mt. Laurel, NJ office of Gannett Fleming .  This is truly an exciting time to join our team!

Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities will include:

• Development of scope of subsurface exploration and laboratory testing
• Observation of subsurface exploration work
• Geotechnical Engineering analyses and design related to a variety of projects including bridges, buildings, retaining walls, towers, pavements, reinforced slopes, and embankments.
• Preparation of geotechnical engineering reports and proposals.
• Preparation of geotechnical design details and specifications.
• Support during construction phase of projects 

Qualifications:

• Master Degree in Geotechnical Engineering
• EIT preferred
• Project experience with bridges, roadways, retaining walls, reinforced slopes, buildings, ground improvements and pavement design is preferred
• Experience on geotechnical software to include: SLOPE/W; STABL, LPILE, GRLWEAP, DARWIN, GROUP, RESSA, and ct-Shoring is preferred
• Strong analytical and report/proposal writing skills
• Experience with NJDOT and NJTA is preferred
