Mechanic – Tire Specialist

Role Description:

• This position is responsible for performing tire repair work. Duties are specific to the maintenance controllable areas of tire program with secondary responsibility of working with Production personnel to insure maximum tire life. This position will coordinate the planning of and replacement of tires with the Shop Supervisor and reports to the Shop Supervisor with secondary reporting to the Site Truck Planner.

Qualifications Required:

• Position requires technical or practical training in mechanical/welding field.
• Must have strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Consistently displays positive behaviors that support the organization’s goals and objectives.

Qualifications Preferred:

• Two years of experience as a Tire Technician.
• Two years mechanical experience.
• Completed formal training courses or related degree programs.
• Two years’ experience working with off road tires.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance systems. (Klinge Program and Ellipse preferable).
• High School diploma/GED.
