Human Resource Consultant
Summary of Position:
- The Human Resource (HR) Consultant will serve as a HR shared resource to work closely with HR site teams including, LOA administrator benefits, wellness, compensation and talent management to effectively administer processes, communicate change, and administer HR services.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Provide support for the development and the achievement of HR Department goals and objectives and long-term HR Human Capital Strategy.
- Provides employee relations support to managers/supervisors and employees to ensure complaints, performance management and corrective action procedures are handled in a fair, consistent and legally compliant manner.
- Assists HR management in the development, revision, implementation and communication of company policy, procedures and administrative practices
- Assist in execution of training programs as needed and coordinates training planning and scheduling
- Forms solid working relationships, based on a thorough knowledge of the business, with HR team, Operations Managers/Supervisors, and other key site managers (Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Maintenance).
- Work with corporate HR functional areas including benefits, compensation and recruiting to address related issues and develop appropriate solutions.
- Conduct employee group meetings
- Maintain awareness of various HR trends within area of responsibility by preparing and analyzing reports of employee data including. Summarize findings, develops recommendations and presents recommendations to managers and works to develop action plans for addressing identified HR issues.
Qualifications:
Knowledge and Relevant Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field and related years of experience or any combination of education and experience that provides the requisite knowledge to successfully perform the job
- Sound understanding of Federal and state regulations governing employment law
- Solid understanding of Human Resource procedures, principles and concepts including employee relations, training & development, performance management, compensation & benefits and safety.

- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously and have strong organizational skills.
- Solid project management skills
- Proven problem solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
