Newly Qualified Mine Deputies - Excellent Opportunities in NSW

With productivity in the NSW coal industry increasing by 25% in the past ten years, the coal mining industry continues to be a major employer in NSW. Due to this continued expansion we have excellent opportunities for Mine Deputies with Mine Operators throughout the region.

Locations include:

• Mudgee / Lithgow
• Newcastle / Lake Macquarie
• Hunter Valley / Singleton
• Upper Hunter / Narrabri
• South Coast / Wollongong

We are keen to register any interest from experienced underground coal experts who are looking to work in one of these regions, with relocation assistance being available in most instances.

About you:
As a Mine Deputy you will be experienced in overseeing the safety of mining operations, demonstrating a proven ability to:

• Inspect mining operations and enforce safety requirements
• Conduct tests to detect gas and ensure that underground ventilation is adequate
• Oversee the storage and use of explosives
• Supervise mine workers in an underground mine
• Report and advise Mine Managers on necessary improvements to efficiency or safety
• A Statutory Deputy’s Ticket and excellent communication skills are essential.
