Bergteamet AB (which means Rock Team in Swedish) is one of the most successful, complete suppliers of underground mining services in Europe, with over 200 mining machines and a workforce of over 600 people. In 2009 Bergteamet, together with their Australian partners the Rapallo Group, created a new venture into the Australian mining contracting scene. Over the last three years, Rock Team has had a two pronged approach to the market - with a primary aim of developing a solid Technical Services division where they now boast a team of 10 mining engineers, and with a secondary aim of developing its in country equipment fleet through importing state of the art mining equipment from its fleet in Sweden which can be employed on mining projects within Australia.

Rock Team now seek to appoint an experienced General Manager - Mining to their management team to work together with the General Manager - Technical Services in taking over the management of several on-going projects that are starting October / November 2012.

As General Manager - Mining you will report directly to the Managing Director and will be responsible for day to day leadership and management of the group’s mining activities. Your role will have a clear focus on underground mining projects with an emphasis on delivering desired outcomes and working closely with Rock Team’s clients. You will oversee strategic development and all aspects of project delivery, reporting, safety and profitability.

To be successful in this role you will be a qualified and experienced Mining Engineer or be able to demonstrate suitable experience in running of mining projects. Previous experience working for a mining services company is vital for this role.This is a challenging and highly rewarding opportunity where you will have the chance to lead a dynamic team.
