This miner has one of the larger underground mines. The operation consists of an open pit mine and an underground mine. Site infrastructure supports both operations. The Operation is expected to have a mine life of approx. another ten years and based on further drilling completed during 2011 it is expected the mine life will extend beyond this. Using new XPAC Software this site provides the opportunity to broaden your experience with leading mine planning software.


Mining…


Underground mining being carried out at the moment includes the use of modern diesel or electro-hydraulic equipment of large capacity. Mine methods being used include board and pillar methods and backfill. The backfilling of voids means a high recovery of resources.


Production…


Monday to Friday role with a number of towns to choose from or DIDO from Rockhampton or Mackay. The site is well resourced with modern and efficient infrastructure and services. It has also had significant upgrades and extensions made to the camp, workshops and offices.

Underground mining and production at this mine provides opportunity for further exploration and development. This includes an extended mine life due to a growing resource base in existing ore body.


2+ years UG mine surveying experience alongside relevant tertiary qualifications required for this role.
