GEOLOGIST- PRINCIPAL RESOURCE CONSULTANT- OVER IT?
PRINCIPAL RESOURCE GEOLOGIST
As far as the business development side of things goes, it's no secret that it is part of your role as a Principal to be able to bring in enough business to support your small team of Consultants. However, from speaking with the Manager, he has told me:
"We have plenty of work on the go at the moment, our Consultants are fully booked and projects secured for the new year, which will free up plenty of time for his person to pick and choose a bit more than usual". Plus they have hired a new BD Manager who will do the bulk of the new client development. You can just get repeat business and concentrate on:
- Due diligence
- Technical reviews
- Peer reviews
- Project management
This Perth based, multi-disciplinary consultancy has seen quite a few new, up and coming companies added to their client base within the last 8 months as well as their established clientele coming back, due to high quality work produced by both the Seniors and the Principals.
A perfect fit for this role is someone who is currently sitting in a consultancy and wanting an office environment change. The team are quite a social bunch, supportive of each other and highly professional in their attitude towards the projects they work on.
Of course you will have upwards of 15 years experience, with strong geostatistical and resource geology skills. JORC Competent in 1 or 2 commodities.
