Growing WA based organisation have an opportunity for a suitably qualified Geotechnical Engineer to join the Mine Planning / Technical Services Department in their flagship WA operation.
Reporting to the Mine Manager the successful candidates will require:
A degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geoscience, Mining Engineering or a similar discipline
Proven experience with roof support systems and ground monitoring instrumentation
A natural and developed interest in Geotechnical Engineering
A demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels of the organisation
The position demands an individual of the highest calibre who can:
Pit wall mapping, documentation, assessments and investigations
Developing and adhering to geotechnical procedures for the site
Support engineering and other staff
Assess and monitor all wall control blasting implementations
Compile daily, weekly and monthly geotechnical reporting
Provide safe and optimised geotechnical design recommendations for the mine
Provide input into mine planning and operational management controls for the operation
