Underground Mine Manager

Skye Recruitment are seeking a suitably qualified and extremely motivated Underground Manager for a high grade nickel mine based near Kalgoorlie.

This is a permanent full-time role. Our preference is for a residential applicant; however a FIFO option may be available. Residential assistance is available in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie for the successful applicant. The successful applicant will require a WA 1st Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency and be capable of running and taking responsibility for this operation.

We need someone who has experience in long-hole stoping and mechanised mining and Surpac experience is essential.

Reporting to the General Manager for the operation your duties will include: 


Construct and implement all planning and scheduling underground
Manage and maintain all safety practices 
Provide mentoring and assistance to site staff when required
Comply with all statutory requirements as per legislation

The successful applicant will demonstrate a previous history of leadership. An excellent working knowledge of geotechnical applications and practical application of same will be viewed favourably. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
