Auto Electrician

Consolidated Minerals has a core production base in carbon and stainless steel raw materials through our manganese, nickel and chromite businesses in Western Australia – cementing our position as a niche supplier of high-quality, strategic minerals to world markets.

We have a large number of employees and contractors working at our manganese and chromite operations in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. We have a strong commitment to growth through exploration with active exploration programs underway across all of our core commodity areas.

We are currently recruiting for a HV Auto Electrician at our Woodie Manganese Operations, situated 407kms south - east of Port Hedland in the Pilbara. The right applicant will be offered a competitive remuneration package, a 2:1 roster FIFO from Perth, and will enjoy staying in a newly renovated camp with modern facilities.

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the successful applicant will be required to:

  • Perform all work activities with the highest regards to industry safety standards
  • Be self motivated, proactive, express a positive attitude and have a keen interest in pursuing a career in mining
  • Maintain company Mining Fleet which consists of predominantly Cat and Komatsu equipment i.e. PC 2000, PC1250 Excavators, WA900 & 980H to 992K Loaders, 14H to 16M Graders, D10t Dozers, 777F, G Dump Trucks, 777F Water Carts
  • Ensure safe working practises and good housekeeping
  • Work independently as well as part of the mobile maintenance team
  • Liaise with other workshop personnel to complete tasks

Requirements to be successful in this role are:

  • To hold a Cert III Auto Electrician trade
  • Air Con Ticket
  • Have a considerable amount of experience as a HV auto electrician on a mine site
  • Extensive product knowledge of  CAT & Komatsu equipment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Outgoing with strong initiative
  • Physically fit and able to work outdoors for most of the day
  • Willingness to improve and add knowledge to the team
  • Current HR drivers licence
