Exploration Project Geologist

We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a Project Geologist to join our flagship site and be responsible for planning and supervising exploration activities. Reporting to the Senior Exploration Geologist, you will be responsible for: 

• Geological mapping at pit and regional scales
• RC and Diamond drilling, target generation, definition and prioritisation
• Analysing and presenting results to peers and management
• Recommending, planning and prioritisation of further work
• Understanding the geology and mineralisation controls of the area
• Supervising and mentoring geological field assistants
• Liaising with consultants, contractors and landholders
• Proactively contributing to the ongoing safety, environmental and heritage efforts of the exploration team

To be considered for this position, you will have a tertiary qualification in Geology and previous experience in an exploration geology role will be essential. Knowledge of geological mapping, geochemistry and sampling techniques will be highly regarded as well as RC drill rig supervision.
