Safety Officer
Masbate Gold Project (MGP), jointly operated by Filminera Resources Corporation (FRC) and Phil. Gold Processing and Refining Corp (PGPRC) is the largest operating gold project in the Philippines today. It is located in Aroroy, Masbate, about 360 km southeast Manila, Philippines. As a development partner of Aroroy, province of Masbate, MGP adheres to responsible minerals development with its two operators adopting and implementing high standards in Occupational Health, Safety, Environment and Community Relations.
The US$ 250 million project covers an area of 13,000 hectares representing the single largest investment in the province of Masbate.
The development of the Masbate Gold Project started in September 2007 and the first gold pour took place on 12 May 2009.

Safety Officer
Bicol Region - Puro, Aroroy, Masbate
Responsibilities:
- A duly registered and currently licensed engineer, geologist, metallurgist with at least five (5) years of relevant work experience in a mining industry.
- An accredited or certified Safety Training Officer registered with EMB or MGB.
- Knowledgeable on the principles and practices of evaluating and implementing a comprehensive safety program, risk management, techniques of accident prevention, laws and regulations applicable to employee safety and occupational health.
- Has the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing which is vital in addressing safety concerns.
- Has the ability to gather, organize, and analyze data in completing comprehensive safety reports.
- Has the ability to analyze situations accurately and make timely and effective recommendations concerning safety issues with the guidance and clearance from the OHS&T Manager.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam), Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety), Engineering (Mechanical), Education/Teaching/Training or equivalent.
- At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Preferably Supervisor / 5 Yrs & Up Experienced Employees specializing in Engineering - Environmental/Health/Safety or equivalent.
- Full-Time position(s) available.
