About the Role 

Due to internal career development an exciting opportunity exists for a Mine Planning Engineer within the Technical Services team of this North Queensland operation.  Reporting to the Senior Mine Planning Engineer this position is on a residential basis in North Queensland offering the opportunity to be home each night.

Responsibilities of this key role will include but are not limited to:

• Assistance with and coordination of targeted activities to safely meet and exceed targeted deliverables as per the Mining Plan
• Produce development and stope designs that are in accordance with mine procedures
• Ensure risk assessments and processes are followed at all phases of the design process
• Develop, implement and ensure precise mine planning information and reports are delivered on time

About You 

To be successful you will posses:

• Tertiary Qualification in Mining Engineering
• Practical and demonstrated experience in a mine with open stoping activities
• Knowledge and understanding of geology, scheduling, commodity mechanics and ventilation principles
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Advances computer skills i.e. MS Office Suite and Mine Planning Software
