The mining services industry is expanding significantly in Queensland, and this Global technology business is poised to take advantage of this growth. With approximately 70 staff geographically dispersed and a strategic business plan in place, they have identified key markets and sectors for their expansion.  They aim to build significant market share through continuing to build their brand through exceptional service delivery, whilst offering a strong solutions focus. 

About the Role

This is your opportunity to be a part of the resources industry, and make your mark as an executive. Your career will be inextricably linked to the growth and success of this business, and this will be a pivotal role in your career. Reporting to the CEO, your role as General Manager will see you responsible for delivering the business plan, and driving the growth targets.  Initially, you will work with the senior leadership team based overseas to finalise the strategy for the next three years, and set the performance targets for the business by which you will be measured. You will then focus on growing the business (with complete P&L responsibility) whilst maintaining focus on the strategy and continuous growth.  
  
About You

You will be tertiary qualified in a mineral related discipline (geology or metallurgy) and an MBA. You will be able to demonstrate a solid history of senior executive experience and demonstrate proven experience in delivering results and growing market share, along with strong numeracy and strategic thinking skills in a sales driven environment. Your solutions focused approach has seen you be able to achieve delivery of results in any environment.
