About the Company

Our client develops and supplies machine management systems for mobile equipment used in the mining, earthmoving and land rehabilitation sectors, with a track record of delivering dramatic productivity and cost benefits to operators in these areas. The company has operations in both Australia and the US, plus distributors in Asia, and can point to a track record of successful project delivery to Tier 1 players in the mining sector both locally and abroad.

About the Role

Yours is a key role in a small, committed sales team. While you will inherit a portfolio of existing accounts, your focus will very much be on developing new business with mining houses and mining contractors in QLD and NSW. You can expect to travel to regions such as the Bowen Basin and Hunter Valley 1-2 weeks per month, but will work at "corporate", not just site, levels with clients. This is very much a consultative sales role, often involving long lead times, as you partner with clients to understand their issues and harness expert engineering resources who will assist you through the sales process.

About You

You can demonstrate a track record of successfully building business within the mining sector, working with both asset owners and mining contractors. Specific technical knowledge of machine management systems is not a prerequisite, however a background in the mobile plant sector would be a distinct advantage and you possess a sound technical aptitude.
