About the role

  • The Development Director will set the Orange Business Services strategy on the Oil, Gas and Mining (OG&M) business sector, define the specific assets required to tackle the market, lead the OG&M community, support pre-sales /sales teams and marketing domains on key projects. The Director will be the key contact person on OG&M matters (internal and external communication)

More specifically:

  • Define and implement sector specific business development strategies within sector for large MNCs, including the MNC suppliers to this sector
  • Develop a managerial governance model (Oil & Gas & Mining strategy areas) with internal Orange Group Business Units (Voice, Network solution, ITSS, CCS, UCC domains, Orange Consulting, Technocentre, DGC, DEF, …) in order to exchange information structure and some working groups.
  • Define and implement sector specific services and solutions in coordination with the rest of Orange Business Services and external partners where required
  • Responsible for improving the penetration of existing and new customers within the sector
  • Set-up communications and marketing plans (incl. sector forums) for the sector, internal & external communication
  • Represent Orange Business Services on Oil & Gas & Mining issues at the Orange Group level
  • Be the ""reference"" internally and externally in building a network of partners (industry, research, integrators).
  • Management of the sector with clear pipeline, revenue & order targets
  • Ensure consistent end-to-end delivery across all regions of sector specific solutions sold to Orange Business Services customers, participate in the commercial launch of key projects (customers meeting, internal set up of the ecosystem, partnership strategy)
  • Support & work in collaboration with sales, pre-sales and the solution domains to achieve sector solutions and objectives
  • Examine external growth opportunities

About you

  • The job requires a highly experienced profile with strong business development track record within the Oil & Gas & Mining Markets and an established industry credibility. In most cases Houston based relationship will be critical especially for the Multi-national Corporations (MNC's).

More specifically:

  • Experience gained either directly through working with upstream supplier/client activities or previous Oil & Gas & Mining senior (IT/Telecoms) consulting positions
  • Demonstrated experience in a sales/pre-sales or consulting in the IT/Telecom areas of network (i.e.: WAN, VSAT), Unified Communications, machine-to-machine, system integration & all specific solutions adherent to the needs of this sector
  • Strong business development track record of generating leads into successful commercial sales within the Oil & Gas & Mining Markets
  • Ability to lead and work as part of consultancy teams and exhibit honed project management skills
  • Established industry credibility.
  • The candidate must know key IT stakeholders in IOC, Oil Services providers and Large mining companies
  • Operational and Financial experience, thus being able to leverage the support required internally to meet the operational requirements of a sector
  • Strong financial & business development skills, MBA and or management consulting experience an advantage
  • Strong program management skills and track record of managing virtual multinational teams
  • Ability to deliver quick and accurate results within a short time frame
  • Good communicator, has worked directly with customers
