Maintenance Analyst- Mechanical

Job Description

• [Company] in Gary, Indiana is seeking a Maintenance Mechanical Analyst.

Primary Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Primary Functions: Diagnose operating equipment, machinery, and parts utilizing analysis of vibration data collected. Make recommendations for changes to equipment based on vibration. Other techniques are also used to support vibration data such as; thermography, tribology, flow analysis and failure analysis.
• Machines and Equipment Used: Vibration analyzers, accelerometers, alignment tools, data acquisition systems and hand tools.

Education Requirements:

• Maintenance Mechanical Analyst
• A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or 2 years completed in a Mechanical Engineering program.

Work Environment:

• The job is within a heavy industrial environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the mill. Dependent upon the area you will work in, the environmental conditions can be hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy.
• The position requires approximately 80% field work and 20% office work. The work schedule consists of rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays (as needed).
