Project Engineer I

Position Overview:

• Support construction activities by planning, organizing and implementing those management duties (i.e., project controls systems, engineering interface, subcontract and materials management, purchasing, scheduling). May be responsible for total project administration or support to a Senior Project Engineer on larger projects. May manage other engineers and/or other positions. This position has the responsibility to manage technical and administrative staff to facilitate Construction Management Services.

Education/Training/Experience:

• Must have proven abilities and skills in the following: leadership and management of people, communication (verbal and written), planning, organization and delegation. Must set standards of excellence in leadership, safety, quality and productivity for his/her subordinates. Must have working knowledge and be able to direct the operation of at least the following TIC management systems: scheduling-CPM, unit man-hour performance, accounts payable/accounts receivable, materials control, estimating, job cost updates and subcontracts. The title of project engineer requires a baccalaureate degree in a construction-related field of engineering or equivalent experience and education and a minimum of 7 years’ experience in project or field engineering. This position may be utilized on projects of any size.
