Drill Operator

Grange Resources owns and operates the largest integrated iron ore mining and pellet production business in Australia. The ore is processed at Savage River and transported by pipeline to the pellet plant and ship loading facility at Port Latta.

Adding to our Tasmanian operation, we are developing a world class magnetite project at Southdown near Albany in Western Australia. Development of Southdown will see Grange Resources becoming one of the major suppliers of quality iron ore pellets in the region.

We are seeking a reliable and motivated person to fill the role of Drill Operator on a 4 on / 4 off rotating 12½ hour day/night continuous shift roster at our Savage River operations.

To be successful you should have recent experience in blast hole drilling and you must possess the capability and willingness to work safely in an isolated environment with minimal supervision. A current driver’s licence is essential.

Tasks include but are not limited to:
  • Operation and maintenance of a drill
  • Achievement of drilling quality targets, including depth, inclination, hole size and hole preservation
