AMC Consultants is a leading mining consultancy, providing services exclusively to the minerals sector. We are experiencing an exciting period of growth and have a number of interesting opportunities available. 

Our Melbourne office is currently seeking a Principal Geologist with the following skills and qualifications: 

Specialist skills required:
  • Resource estimation using geostatistical estimation techniques. 
  • A mixture of diverse geological experience across exploration, geological interpretation, underground and open cut mine production. 
  • Consulting and mentoring to support and undertake work in resource estimation, technical reviews, audits and due diligences. 
  • Ability and preparedness to act as a competent person where suitable. 
  • Preference for experience in bulk commodities such as mineral sands, iron ore and coal however gold and base metals experience is also desirable. 
  • Datamine Studio software skills preferable. 

Qualifications required:
  • A degree in geology. Block model estimation and mineral resource reporting experience. A minimum of 15 years industry experience 
  • Membership of an appropriate professional society such as the AusIMM or the AIG. 

The salary packages offered will be commensurate with the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
