Project Engineer

• [Company] is currently seeking a project engineer for the Elko office. This individual will be responsible for civil, geotechnical and geological engineering projects for mining clients. The successful candidate will perform engineering design and analyses for foundations, slope stability, retaining walls, earthworks, pipe flow and surface water facilities. The successful candidate will also conduct field explorations, provide construction support, write reports, mentor junior staff, and will work as part of a team on larger projects. Assignments could include travel to remote locations and outside work in varying climates.

Job Requirements:

• BS in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering;
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with a general civil, geotechnical, geological, or surface water emphasis;
• Work experience and proficiency in AutoCAD design preferred;
• Have professional civil engineer registration or be in the process of receiving professional registration;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with leadership ability and willingness to travel as dictated by project demands;
• Pass a pre-employment physical including drug screening and a background check;
• Extensive field investigation and sampling experience;
• It is also beneficial to be comfortable in remote settings, with a can-do attitude, and a willingness to perform a variety of tasks as needed to complete an assignment and satisfy project demands
