A well established contractor in the city is now looking to appoint a methodical Senior Estimator to work in a well run team environment. The company delivers quality projects across a range of sectors up to the value of $20M. The main focus of the senior estimator is to take control of some of the larger tenders while mentoring younger members of the team.

Current marker condition means the senior estimator will be involved with a number of competitive tenders and be in a position to hit the ground running. This role involves meticulous attention to detail, the building of close working relationships with people at every stage of the tender process and the ability to negotiate with external suppliers in order to the best value for money.

The successful candidate will have five years estimating experience with a well established Tier 2/3 Melbourne contractor on projects up to $20M. You will have excellent knowledge of the local market (subcontractor rates etc), a relevant tertiary qualification and the ability to mentor junior staff members.
