Purchaser/Buyer

As one of the world’s leading suppliers of specialty fertilizers and more than 100 years of mining experience, our client has an exciting full-time job opportunity to offer a highly motivated individual. They are currently looking for a Purchaser/Buyer to join their company based on site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the purchase/delivery of materials and services to meet customer order requirements and maintain stock/service levels.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Purchase material for inventory and non-stock items for branches and customer orders and enter the data onto systems
• Monitor to ensure orders were successfully received and confirm expected ship dates
• Review reports for stock outs and expedite open orders
• Monitor price increases/discrepancies and communication changes as necessary
• Review line points/order points for inventory and service levels
• File purchase orders
• Provide assistant to Contracts Administrator as required

Skills & Requirements:

• 3-5 years procurements experience in a heavy industry is a definite must
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
• SAP knowledge is a strong asset

This position is based on site, located approximately 40 minutes from Moose Jaw and Regina.
