Senior Engineer

CIMA+ is currently seeking applications for the position of a Senior Electrical Engineer who can assist a dynamic and growing Instrumentation, Controls and Electrical Engineering sector with some of our upcoming projects.

Tasks

• Develop, review and interpret engineering and design deliverables;
• Electrical lead for all modifications including feasibility studies, design concept and selection, milestone schedules, cost profiles, development plan and risk analyses;
• Participating in studies, document reviews and technical bid evaluations.

Skills

• I.T. skills including Smart Plant experience would be an asset.
• Other plant modeling software might be acceptable (ETAP or Easy Power);
• Knowledge of medium voltage and low voltage electrical equipment is required. Electrical equipment includes motors, switch-gears, MCC, VFD,and UPS;
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills are a must;
• French (asset);
• Past experience with EPCM firms (asset).

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited Post-Secondary Institution;
• Registered with APEGGA as a P. Eng with 10-15 years' experience;
• Lighting knowledge and design experience is also required;
• Mining design experience would be an asset particularly related to powering conveyor loads;
• Engineering design of low and medium voltage equipment and systems specific to the oil and gas sector and/or petro-chemical industry is preferred.
