Job Description
As a Materials & Corrosion Engineer you will report directly to the Engineering Manager and facilitate the resolution of any issues in a client facing capacity. You will liaise closely with both the Procurement and Engineering teams and collaborate with vendors, sub-contractors and service operators to achieve the best possible solutions for all parties. Furthermore, you will ensure all key stakeholders are informed of amendments to the project and that contractual variations are approved.
The Successful Applicant
This role requires the successful candidate to have sufficient skills and experience within a senior role and a competency of setting standards of both a technical and professional manner. Furthermore you will:
Possess a tertiary and/or post graduate qualification in metallurgical engineering or a related field
10 years project experience working on large Oil & Gas construction projects
Extensive experience in identifying and selecting material for subsea design projects
Demonstrated experience in metallurgical processing, welding and mechanical corrosion testing and quality control
Strong knowledge of industry standards and specifications as well as documentation procedures, codes and specification of materials
