About Our Client
This Mid-tier Australian gold company is investing significantly to create a sustainable production base through exploration and development of existing operations. Due to expansion and a recent merger this company have a number of opportunities for skilled mining engineers at all levels to work in an interesting and challenging underground narrow vein gold operation.
Job Description
Reporting to the Mining Manager, you will be responsible for technical aspects of Mining Engineer such as production, planning and geotechnical. Specifically, you will:
Supervise the development of, and monitor the execution of the weekly plan
Participate in the development and publishing of the annual reserves and resources statement and the subsequent mining budgets and LOM plans
Identify improvement opportunities within the mining department
Ensure that Drill and Blast plans are made available in a timely manner
Supervise the management of the primary ventilation system
The Successful Applicant
You will have the ability to provide a high level of technical support to the Mining team. Additionally, you will possess:
6 – 8 years experience in Underground Metalliferous Operations
Mining Engineer preferably specialising in production, planning and projects
A degree in Mining Engineering or similar
First Cass Mine Managers in Tasmania preferable but not essential
