Job Description
Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, the Senior Mining Engineer will be responsible for:
Producing long term mine plans and schedules
Reserve and resource updates
Drill & Blast design
The Senior Mining Engineer will also be responsible for the development and mentoring of junior mining engineers and the management of the site's contractor.
The Successful Applicant
To be successful in this Senior Mining Engineer position, you will possess Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering accompanied with 6+ years experience in underground operations. Experience in long term mine planning along with a background in drill and blast design will be essential to excel in this role. In addition to this, the successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of Australian mines and safety regulations whilst having an excellent working knowledge of commonly used software packages such as Surpac, Vulcan or Datamine.
