An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Mining Manager for a FIFO role in the Asia Pacific. The roles reports to the General Manager and is responsible for:
- Managing the mining operations resources with a view to sustaining and improving on the required return for investment
- Managing the implementation of short and medium term plans in line with the LOM plan
- Managing the operation in a manner which ensures compliance with statutory requirements
- Ensure mining operations continually strive to reduce mine production costs whilst continually seeking to improve on the annual and LOM plan
- Provide effective operational monitoring, evaluation and reporting including the evaluation and proposed improvement strategies for variances and non-performance Ideally, you will:
- be degree qualified within mining engineering
- have solid experience in mine management of open pit precious metal operations -have expatriate experience - experience in dealing with community relations issues relating to managing a national workforce - be a natural leader - experience of mining in high rainfall environments - hold a First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency (desirable)
