Project Engineer - Underground Metals

This is a challenging role working on a new project with long-term expansion prospects, in this position you will be responsible for:

• Responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating production progress on the site
• Supervising and coaching the project & graduate engineers
• You will build, develop and maintain the client relationship by ensuring the accurate monitoring of project progress and continually advising on the status of the project
• Provide cost control guidance and cost comparisons against budget
• Provide timely reporting of progress of the works
• Planning and programming the works under the contract to optimise efficiency and productivity and to minimise cost

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mining)
• 5 years drill and blast design experience
• Sub level or block cave experience
• Working knowledge of Surpac
• Ability to develop and build client and contractor relationships
• Sound knowledge of managing and implementing project developments
• Sound knowledge and experience in underground development mining
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong attention to detail

The project is relatively new and is expected to run for a number of years offering longevity to all personnel and contractors employed. The staff roster is 8:6 with FIFO from all major centre's on the Eastern Seaboard with meals and accommodation included.
