Mine Engineer - Production & Planning

For the commencement of a new contract we are now recruiting an experienced Mine Engineer for an underground base metals project at a site in regional South Australia. The position is offered on an 8:6 roster with FIFO from all major centre’s on the Eastern Seaboard.
 
As the on-site engineering representative you will be responsible for acting as the interface between technical services and operations providing technical input on operational and production matters. You will have responsibilities for short and medium term planning and the technical coordination of production activities in line with budgets, forecasts and contractual obligations. A key part of this role will be reporting to management and the client on matters relating to production and planning.
This is a varied role that will be hands on and interface across different departments and stakeholders.
 
The successful candidate will possess experience working as a mine engineer in an underground metalliferous environment ideally having also had experience working for a contractor. Advanced competency with mine planning (short and medium term) and associated software packages are essential as well as excel, access and estimating software. Ability to present and communicate with all levels are vital as well as disseminating a range of data to advise on production matters.
