Senior Mining Engineer

This company is a young vibrant company that has a reputation for quality work.  They have expertise in geological, resource, geotechnical, metallurgical and mining engineering. Due to continuing expansion this company are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced mining engineer to add to their existing strengths.  They are seeking applications from senior mining engineers who have technical and operational expertise in hard rock mineral mining.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform mine planning functions from short to long term planning
• Business Development
• Optimisation and innovation
• Mine services engineering
• Design practical final landform and dump plans
• Prepare equipment selection plans as well as being capable to perform financial analysis

 
Key Requirements

• Degree in Mining Engineering or associated discipline
• 5-10yrs experience in Mine Planning and Optimisation
• Experience in Open Pit or Underground (both desirable)
• Experience in mining hard rock minerals such as gold, copper, lead and iron ore
• Work autonomously and be a self-starter
• Proficient in relevant mining software
• Mentor junior team members
