Exploration Geologist

This client is a South Australian based mineral explorer.  The company has a number of very promising mineral deposits at varying stages of exploration.  Due to the growth of the company a position has come along for an experienced project/exploration geologist to work on a number of large exploration projects.


Roles and Responsibilities:

• Planning, recommending and executing exploration programs at various stages of maturity from grass roots through to resource drilling on brownfield projects
• Preparing and validating data and reporting results to relevant reporting standards.
• Cost planning for the project.
• Managing the OH&S documentation.
• Preparing geological/geotechnical reports and maps, interpreting data and recommending further action.

 
Experience and Skills Required:

• Bachelor honours in Science/Geology
• Minimum 5-10 years experience in exploration and mine geology
• Broad understanding of geological, geophysical and geochemical exploration techniques and their appropriate application
• Field supervisory experience
• Competency in Mapinfo is essential
