Production Manager / Senior Metallurgist

An exciting career opportunity awaits a qualified Production Manager / Senior Metallurgist to join a QLD based copper miner.

Our client is a progressive miner with a key focus on copper production based in Northern Queensland.
 
An exciting career opportunity awaits a qualified Production Manager to manage the sites processing plant. Experienced Senior Metallurgist or Processing Supervisors seeking to take a step up in responsibilities are also encouraged to apply. 
 
Reporting to the SSE, you will utilise your extensive technical leadership skills by effectively managing the whole production team including the plant, supervisors, metallurgical and lab staff. 
 
Your responsibilities will also include the overall optimisation of plant performance by identifying improvements and reviewing monthly performance reports. You will work towards consistently meeting and maintaining production and budget forecasts along with managing the metallurgical data management and reporting.
 
To be considered for this position you must possess degree qualifications in Metallurgy or similar combined with a solid background in copper processing methods, first class communication and team management skills along with a commitment to safety.
 
This company encourages applicants to live and work residentially within a regional mining community and work either a 5/2 or 10/4 roster. Full relocation, housing for your family and annual flights back ‘home’ will be provided.
 
A fly in fly out roster will also be considered from Townsville,
