Lead Design Engineer - Minerals

Recent expansion and internal movement has seen several positions become available, one of the most urgent being for a Lead Design Engineer to join the minerals team.
 
Coming from either a mechanical engineering or drafting background you’ll take full responsibility for your assigned projects, ensuring high levels of technical accuracy.  You’ll be tasked with the mechanical design of specialist mineral equipment such as belt or drum filters, air cooled heat exchangers and multiple hearth furnaces.  A background in the minerals industry would be ideal or associated experience in the oil and gas or heavy industrial sectors.  Reporting to the Product Design Manager you’ll coordinate engineers and drafters in other offices locally and overseas to ensure your mechanical designs fit with the electrical, structural and process elements of the end product.
 
On top of your technical understanding you’ll be given responsibility for some of the commercial aspects of the works to further expedite project delivery.  Based in northern Sydney the office is easily accessed via public transport and offers a challenging technical position within a laid back professional culture.
 
Paying up to $80K base + super this is an immediately available permanent role with an engineering organisation that offers long term career opportunities and stability for its employees
