Senior Exploitation Engineer

We are excited to say we are partnered with them to help find the perfect Exploitation Engineer for the Calgary based operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recommend / implement area development plans leading to appropriate capital spending. Participate with team members to deliver on areas of reserves and production rate additions.
• Develop the Alberta North team oil and gas reserves by undertaking multi well drilling projects. Improve field gathering system efficiency by adding field compression and loop lines where necessary. Install coil strings on selected candidates to optimize performance, revive suspended wells by recompletion, open up by-pass pay zones, and capture new reserves by re-entry of the abandoned well bores.
• Maintain accurate company reserve bookings for assigned areas using reservoir engineering principles. Perform as company representative to outside reserve evaluators
• Training and supervision of junior technical staff.
• Perform technical reviews and provide recommendations (with geologist and land man) on exploration activities
• Perform as project manager for capital spending and ensure internal reporting is timely and accurate. Ensuring timely completion of current capital programs.

Experience & Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
• 10 -20 years relevant oil and gas experience
• Strong communication and diplomacy skills to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas/depts. And external customers/areas.
• Relevant Training in Geology, Reservoir Engineering, Transient well test analysis, Vertical flow modeling, Production engineering, Petro physical evaluations.
