Laboratory Technologist

Diversity Technologies Corp. is a privately owned distribution and manufacturing company providing chemical products to the Oil and Gas and Mining Industries. We are currently seeking a Laboratory Technologist to join our downtown Calgary team. This position will be responsible for conducting various testing procedures, analyzing field mud and performing quality assurance and control on products in a laboratory setting.

We are looking for an individual with previous direct drilling fluids experience and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Perform testing of oil field chemical additives and field mud samples in a laboratory setting.
• Provide advice and suggestions for improving performance and results for customers.
• Maintain the laboratory and equipment in a functional state to provide necessary services.
• Maintain appropriate safety compliance in all functions of the job.
• Prepare written reports to support laboratory work.
• Provide laboratory analysis for product quality screening and new product evaluation.
• Prepare reagents for testing drilling fluids.

Qualifications:

• A Chemical Technology Diploma or equivalent education and experience
• Direct drilling fluids experience and practical laboratory experience is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
