Process Engineer

Process Engineer

Reporting to the Chief Metallurgist, the Process Engineer is involved in uranium processes selection, process flow sheet development and mass balance for new milling projects, starting from the pre-feasibility study to the basic and detailed engineering phases. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Be involved in the process optimization of AREVA uranium milling and water treatment facilities
  • Act as Process Specialist for our McClean Mill Upgrade project
  • Liaise with external engineering consultants and vendors on the process design of new projects
  • Assist in the planning and coordinating of metallurgical test work in support of process improvements and optimization
  • Provide project management for small scale modification or optimization projects for our mill
  • Take part in engineering bid evaluations, feasibility studies, risk assessments and HAZOP studies
  • Compile reports on engineering studies and test work
  • Provide process related information to engineering consultants and vendors as requested
  • Work as a team member with other engineering discipline experts to complete priority projects

Qualifications:

  • University graduate in metallurgical or chemical engineering
  • 4-6 years of experience in mineral processing
  • Must be familiar with MS Office software
  • Holding a P. Eng is preferred. Coming up close to achieving your P. Eng status will be considered
