Senior Project Manager

Our client located in the Oakville area is looking to add a Senior Project Manager to their existing team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful established organization.

Responsibilities

• Develops the plans for executing and controlling the project, including budget estimating, development of schedule and opportunity paper, risk planning, concept phase plan, business case, elaboration phase plan and project implementation plan.
• Closely monitors project activities through formal or informal reports for conformity to approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Determines resource requirements, roles and responsibilities and project organization structure.
• Determines causes and takes corrective actions when deviations from project plans or planned performance occurs.
• Monitoring risk trigger conditions for contingency plans and reviews the execution of risk responses while evaluating their effectiveness.
• Manages relationships with internal stakeholders i.e. project sponsors and external stakeholders including consultants, contractors and suppliers.
• Assists with RFI/P/Q process as needed and exhibits strong vendor management skills.
• Uses strong contract negotiation and management expertise to interpret, apply, negotiate and compiles contracts and contractual agreements.
• Leads cross divisional teams and possibly multiple project streams, acquiring resources, developing project teams and mentoring staff.
• Coordinates and disseminates communications relating to project execution to all relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

• 10 + years of experience
• University degree or College Diploma with Project Management training is a must
• Strong computer skills including, MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) MSVisio, MS Project
• Excellent people management skills with leadership and people management experience
