Mechanical Design Engineer

BlueSky Process Solutions Ltd., based in Stoney Creek Ontario, designs and manufactures innovative products for the severe service piping applications industry. We are looking for an Mechanical Design Engineering to develop and design new products as well as support our continuous existing product improvement activities. Due to our rapid growth in conventional and renewable energy sectors, this position is a stepping stone for further opportunities within our Engineering group as we continue to develop more new products and solutions. Responsibilities:

• Conceptual designs and supporting calculations of new products and existing products improvements;
• Create conceptual designs and drawings in a 3-D CAD environment;
• Work with colleagues to create and verify machining drawings;
• Manage and organize engineering files and drawings per company's procedure;
• Provide support and assistance to the production/manufacturing department;
• Provide technical support to customers;
• Support infernal continuous Improvements initiatives, corrective actions, etc;
• Maintain documentation in line with existing ISO practices.

Qualifications:

• B Sc Mechanical Engineering;
• P. Eng or P. Eng qualified;
• 5 years of experience in an Engineering environment;
• 3D CAD design experience (preferably Pro/ENGINEER);
• Proficient in creating models, engineering drawings and layouts and relevant calculations with minimal instruction;
• High degree of attention to detail;
• Familiar with Microsoft Office;
• Dynamic, motivated self-starter that can work independently and as part of a team;
• Experience in piping & pressure vessels codes and familiarity with ASTM/ASME materials is an asset

Work Hours: 40 hours per week, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 1 hour lunch
